Steward Medical Group is searching for a Supply Chain Coordinator that will serve as a key member on the SMG Supply Chain Team, based in Watertown, MA under the direct supervision of Manager of Supply Chain. Operations responsibilities include rostering new/updating existing physician practice locations with National GPO, managing vaccine rostering/purchases monthly with Med/Surg distributor, manage the process of centralizing the collection and storage of SMG contracts, create ordering procedural documents for operations to drive purchases to key contract vendors, and monitor/manage internal supply chain email boxes.


  • Roster new practice locations with SMG's National Group Purchasing Organization, GPO
  • Request HIN’s and manage DEAs on the GPO roster to ensure contract pricing for all practices
  • Setup SMG practices with access to order directly from approved national vendors
  • Monitor pricing with large national vendors to drive cost savings and contract compliance
  • Monitor/review/approve SMG new item requests with med/surg distributor
  • Manage backorder reports for all locations with med/surg distributor and vaccine distributor
  • Assist practice managers/directors with entering capital purchase requests in Axiom for corporate approval
  • Assist with large scale purchasing initiatives (bulk purchases)
  • Manage and respond to the Supply Chain internal email boxes
  • Monitor/update the SMG Intranet Site
  • Create procedural documents for the intranet site
  • Manage the process of centralizing SMG contracts into one location (services and supplies)
  • Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent amount of education and experience
  • Experience with Supply Chain and/or Logistics
  • High degree of proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office skill is a plus
  • Other previous healthcare experience is a plus
