Job Summary:
Provide professional clinical assistance to patients within the clinic in support of the physicians in a practice located in Brockton

Responsibilities:
• All clinical duties involving working on the floor and running a provider
• Oversees workflow in the practice & ensures that appointments run smoothly
• Communicates with physicians, staff, patients and management to meet deadlines & maintain quality patient care
• Record patient history, chief complaint, pharmacy info, RX list, etc into EMR
• Supply ordering and stocking of rooms
• Phone triage, prescription refills, telephone communication with patients
• Ordering tests, obtaining prior authorizations
• Orients new Medical Assistants to practice and provides appropriate training
• Performs AAFPT testing to maintain CLIA license
• Completes a temperature log and medication log
• Performs cycle counts of inventory on a monthly basis
• Provides administrative support when in need
• Additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:
• Must have leadership abilities and demonstrate management skills
• Education from approved medical assistant program or equivalent is required
• Experience in a doctor's office setting required
• Experience administering injections
• Strong computer skills required
• Experience with electronic medical record strongly preferred (Athena a plus)
• Demonstrated experience in a fast paced work environment
• Ability to perform telephone triage
• Some travel required within the market
