Physician Assistant, for Growing Orthopedic Service Line

Steward Medical Group, Sharon, PA. Be part of a Steward Health Care, is seeking Physician Assistant, to assess, plan, and provide patient care under the direction of surgeon. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, performing patient histories and physical exams, seeing patients in the office setting, performing in-office procedures within the scope of practice, and prescribing medications and ordering tests as needed. Operating Room experience strongly preferred, but not required. Will see post surgical follow-ups in clinic, round on patients in the hospital, minimum of 2 years experience in orthopedics is strongly preferred, PA Licensure from an accredited recognized program required to practice, DEA.

Communicates and consults with the supervising physician regarding the medical status of patients, and communicates with patients and family members effectively, providing appropriate education. Maintains a working relationship with the interdisciplinary team, including RNs, Physicians, and others. Relies on experience and clinical judgement to plan and accomplish goals Sharon Regional Medical Center, in Sharon, PA, just 65 miles north of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
