Steward Medical Group at Hawthorn Medical Associates is looking for an enthusiastic, dedicated Maintenance Worker. The successful candidate will:

Complete assigned work orders to include repairs to buildings, grounds and equipment; new construction, renovation and remodeling projects; and repairs and installation of minor electrical, plumbing, carpentry, boilers, HVAC systems, etc.

Follow preventive maintenance program via assigned work orders. This includes all heating, air conditioning, as well as maintenance and repair of buildings and equipment.

Complete all required paperwork relating to Preventive Maintenance Program.

Operate power tools including drills, saws, snow-blowers safely and in accordance with manufacturer’s operating instructions with appropriate PPE at all times.

Must be able to accept on-call (including nights and weekends) responsibilities and immediately respond to emergency calls/pages. Remain flexible in all shift coverage and overtime situations including night, evening and weekend hours as they become necessary.

Maintain effective working relationships and communication with Steward and Hawthorn Medical personnel and external vendors as required


Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent required; certificate from related trade or technical school

3 - 6 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.

Must have valid driver’s license and demonstrated experience operating a variety of power tools (based upon manufacturer’s operating instructions while using appropriate personal protective equipment)
