Serves as Senior Clinic Leader of the Training Team. Director of Practice Optimization and Training is responsible for the creation of innovative, effective and timely training and development strategies. Work with senior management to develop training and development plans that directly reflect an overall strategic plan of the organization. Plan and formulate specific training programs to maximize education and task efficiency. Provide leadership and direction to the clinc financial analysts and coordinate their communcation, workflow and activities as they apply to increased productivity of the medical practices. Oversee all aspects of the financeil analysts role, overseeing and directing monthy visits with the physicain clients and retaining responsibility ofr overall practice improvement and development. The Director of Practice Applications Trainer provides user training on all electronic applications (includes electronic health records as well as other electronic systems that affect the ambulatory medical practices)offered by Steward Health Care. He/she will work with providers and office staff located throughout Steward Medical Group (nationally) and is proficient in the electronic applications used by inpatient and ambulatory practices.
* Responsible for training the training team on all practice EHR functionality, before, during and after system Go-LIVE
* Design, develop and deliver training and education to all members as needed in areas of information systems, physician practice operational processes, patient flow, financial reports, ect
* Develop and implement streamlines patient flow, paper flow, and communication flow processes.
* Advises and demonstrates best practices for entering data into the EHR in accordance with Meaningful Use, MACRA/MIPS Quality initiatives, SMG Policies & Procedures, and Hospital Policies and Procedures.
* Maintains EHR training documentation utilizing written training agendas and sign-off sheets for all trainings
* Oversee and lead all financial analysts in their respective roles. Corrdinate work plan measurement and prioritization of financial workload and communication to practice sites.
* Serve as lead contact and coordinator to all practice and admins in regards to new processes, analyst prjects and monthly meetings.
* Ensure all monthly templates are distributed and follow up meetings within each practice.
* Supports key Training team deliverables and is able to work within defined project plan timelines
* Maintains the confidentiality of all patient related information; ensuring the security and confidentiality of systems data; and abiding by all SMG policies and procedures
* Other duties as assigned.
* Exceptional communication skills including oral presentation and written documentation; solid analytical/problem solving skills required
* Experience providing front-line Go-LIVE support in a multi-application system environment, within a complex health care organization required
* Ability to conduct end user individual and webinar training sessions adapting training methods to various learning styles
* Prior experience with EHR systems such as eClinicalWorks, Athenanet, or Meditech strongly preferred
* Knowledge of clinical and clerical operations and workflows strongly preferred
* Self-motivated individual with proven organizational skills who needs minimal supervision
* Ability to travel consistently through the United States as needed for supplemental support
I. Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent education preferred but not required & training experience preferred.
II. Experience (Type & Length): 5-10 years of related experience required, practice operations experience preferred.
Other: This role requires time prior to and after normal work hours to accommodate clinicians when they are available. This role requires transportation to travel to any Steward location and ability to travel domestically at any time.
